Charles Bailey (medium) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Charles Bailey (medium) Charles Bailey (1870-1947) was an Australian apport medium. Bailey was born in Melbourne. He worked as a bootmaker and became a famous apport medium. He claimed with the help of his spirit guide "Abdul" that he could apport live items such as fish, crabs, turtles, coins, stones and antiques in the séance room.〔Raymond Buckland. (2005). ''The Spirit Book: The Encyclopedia of Clairvoyance, Channelling, and Spirit Communication''. Visible Ink Press. pp. 27-28. ISBN 978-1578592135〕 In 1910 Bailey was exposed as a fraud. At Grenoble, France Bailey produced two live birds in the séance room. He was unaware that the dealer who he had brought the birds from was present in the séance.〔J. Gordon Melton. (2007). ''The Encyclopedia of Religious Phenomena''. Visible Ink Press. p. 12. ISBN 978-1578592098〕 According to Joseph McCabe before the séance he had hidden the birds in the "unpleasant end of his alimentary canal".〔Joseph McCabe. (1920). ''Is Spiritualism Based On Fraud? The Evidence Given By Sir A. C. Doyle and Others Drastically Examined''. London Watts & Co. p. 90〕 ==References==
